Skincare Routine| Night

I decided to start off my skincare routine blogpost  with my night time skincare regimen. Now for all those that haven’t guessed by now, (by my blog posts) I like to use minimal products and keep it as simple as possible. Now that I have gotten that point across, let’s get right into this post, shall we!

Camomile cleansing butter by The Bodyshop
Camomile cleansing butter by The Bodyshop

First let me start off by saying that on most days (especially on work days) I wear makeup, so to take off every trace of my makeup, I have been using the Camomile Cleansing Butter by Bodyshop (Read blogpost on this product). I absolutely love this product, it gets rid of all makeup including waterproof and cleanses the skin so well that to use a face wash afterwards could be optional, Yes you heard that right. I have been using this product for several months now and I have not touched a wipe since, I prefer this method of cleansing than wipes and my skin has been looking better too. There is something about this butter that just gives you that spa treatment feel, What more can I say, I just love this product, have recommended it to loads of people. I must say thanks to Patricia Bright and Samantha Maria (Youtubers) as it was through one of their past videos that I discovered this product and thought to give it a try and since then I have been hooked.

Simple Triple Action Face Wash

After using the cleansing butter, because I’m super extra and thorough, I wash my face with my all time favourite face wash by Simple Skincare line and this face wash right here, all you Oilysens and others but most importantly my Oilysens out there need this. Again with Camomile goodness (see what I did there) this face wash is so soothing and calming and DOES NOT STRIP THE SKIN AT ALL. Oilysens out there would know what I mean when I say we might complain of how much we hate the Oiliness but please don’t strip our skin dry. Afterwards I let my skin to air dry and then I use the Tea Tree Mattifying Toner and the Tea Tree Anti-imperfection Daily solution drops to keep those pesky spots away. These two combo since it was recommended to me by one of the Bodyshop staffs at one of their stores in London has saved my skincare and changed it for the better. These two right here are the Holygrail for my skincare regimen thus far. Click here to read blogpost on these products.

The 'Holy Grail' Moisturiser
The ‘Holy Grail’ Moisturiser

To finish off I either use a moisturiser or a product for my hperpigmentation (find out more here) This Aloe Propolis Creme By Forever Living is also one of my holygrail if you read my past blogpost you’ll know why, but to elaborate briefly, this product helps keep my skin moisturised, helps to even out my skin tone and yet keep it matte but supple to the touch. Amazing right?

There you have it that’s is absolutely all that I do for my night time skincare routine.

  1. Great post! I loved reading about what you are currently using. Skincare is a guilty pleasure of mine, and I love reading about what other’s are up to. Simplicity is the way to go, but I end up using a whole bunch of products. Please stay on the lookout for my new post which will be coming out soon about my current skincare routine. 😉

    • Awesome! and you’re welcome, hope to know how you get on with the face wash. I literally don’t know what other face wash I would use if this were to be discontinued that’s why whenever there is an offer I consistently stock up on it.

  3. Girl, I’ve been searching for a way to remove my makeup that doesn’t require using wipes. I’ve heard so many good things about Bodyshop’s Camomile Cleansing Butter, so I can’t wait to give that a try, especially after the wonders it’s done for you! x

    • oh yes, I used to be a swipe clean kinda girl for my makeup lol but after discovering the camomile butter last year summer , I haven’t used a wipe since, got my sister hooked on it too, I find myself ordering the products more for her than I do for myself, and even better Bodyshop always have discounts so anything to save that extra cash is great, cos we aint outcha tryna be broke on skincare lol. Thank you so much for having a read, means a lot! Do give it a try and let me know how you get on with it.
